Getty concert

My church choir and two others will join Keith and Kristyn Getty soon as background singers for one night. I'd not heard of the Gettys before but am now a fan! I love her vocal tone and the interesting rhythms and Irish vibe of the music. Fun times!

I worried because I had a vocal slump due to having to raise my voice to get my kids' attention a lot all day every day for a long while, but I had a consultation with coach Benny Meza which set me on better habits. I'll have to ask what I can talk about, but vocal rest due to getting a whistle surely helps.

Also getting the apparently moldy old air ducts and registers of the entire house cleaned and disinfected plus adding a UV light to make sure it never comes back! It may be that I need to rehome my cat. It happens that people who are initially not allergic to cats can become that way later. Now that the registers are clean we'll see if I can breathe through my nose and quit dry coughing every day. If not, I guess some hard decisions are on the table. I can't stop the oak or pollen or mold out in the air, but I may need to rule out other home allergens. Perhaps a couple of nights in a cat free environment could answer the question too.
